Below is a description of the Tank depicted, with information regarding the types of animals, water quality and so on. Also included are the products that Randy uses.
I thank him for the endorsement of our products. This was an unsollicited document. Randy sent us the material and I formatted it in HTML so others could read and see what the has been able to accomplish as a Hobbyist, obviously a real good one. Note the emphasys on Mushroom corals.
RESIDENTS:
Mushrooms in tank a combination of: -Red,Blue,Striped,Hairy,Metallic Green. All have rapidly reproduced.
LIVE ROCK:
Gulf and Fiji (approx.30lb)
WATER: 75%Gulf water, 25%synthetic salt. Seawater introduced to tank within 3hrs of collection. Water change (20% biweekly)
ADDITIVES:
LIGHTING:
Aquarium has open top during day while positioned under natural lighting. 80W.flourescent canopy lowered onto tank and turned on after 5pm. No actinic or metal halide used in this aquarium. Natural lighting probably providing sufficient lighting/color spectrum.

OBSERVATIONS:
The use of 75%natural sea water and 25%synthetic has had dramatic results over a similar tank with similar conditions/specimens using 100%synthetic salt.
The use of natural
lighting (although not possible for all hobbyists) has had a
noticeable effect. I suppose the specimens received (in terms of lighting)
what no artificial lighting could recreate.

This particular tank was dosed with LIQUID GOLD PRO+ , TECH IODINE,
THIEL KALKWASSER. Although there was much attention to details
(water parameters/testing,feeding,and general caring of specimens)
I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT THIEL AQUA TECH PRODUCTS PROVIDED LIFE BUILDING ELEMENTS WHICH OTHERWISE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED TO THIS AND OTHER TANKS.
